Whats the difference between Mil-Spec & Climb Spec?
Mil-Spec specification was written many years ago and requires that the webbing be made on a shuttle loom [The only technology available at the time]. Shuttle looms are very slow, typically only doing 120-200 stitches per minute. Climb Spec webbing is made on a needle loom doing 1200+ stitches per minute. Your basically paying for premium for mil-spec webbing do to machine time. Don't be fooled by companies selling Phoney Mil-Spec Webbing that's made in on needle loom. Webbing made on a needle loom is not Mil-Spec. You can always tell if its made on a needle loom by look at the right side on the webbing, it will have little bumps which means its made on a needle loom.
