Fast and easy to deploy, the new Petzl JAG System Lightweight 4/5 to 1 Haul System 2017 from OmniProGear is a haul kit for pickoffs, making a releasable anchor or tensioning a system. It is extremely compact, meaning it is usable even if the distance to the anchor is very short. Its 4:1 mechanical advantage saves user effort, and it boasts 91 percent efficiency thanks to its sheaves mounted on seated ball bearings.
This system has an 8 mm lightweight rope to aid hauling effectiveness. A flexible cover prevents risk of tangling, making this kit instantly deployable in an emergency. The haul end is bright yellow, making it easy to identify. Able to substitute for a Petzl ascender, this system comes complete with two Am'D Triact-Lock auto-locking carabiners.
